Nebulous Variable is a live recording of an A/V performance collaboration between Cetacea and Ilyse Krivel. A short film was made, drawing from the original visual elements used in their live collaboration and explores them in further detail, unfolding the richness of cosmic exploration that opened during the initial performance. The audio of the film is an edit that condenses the four part movement presented here into a shorter, captivating and unique version of the music.
Cetacea is a psychedelic guitar, electronics, and voice-based project of Bryan W. Bray (Gates, Uxvae, Røisen). Drawing upon influence from the musical realms of ambient, drone, noise and avant-garde experimentalism.
Ilyse Krivel is an experimental audio-visual artist drawing influence from the sacredness of the natural world, celestial space, mythology, and anarcho-primitivism. Her projections are influenced by her personal synesthetic audio-visual experience.
